The amount of the subsidy for improvements is determined by the effectiveness of the improvements. The determining factors are as follows:
the number of people who are protected by the improvements against harmful or nuisance noise exposure; and
the number of people whose exposure to noise pollution is perceptibly reduced by the measures.1
For soundproofing measures on existing buildings, CHF 200 is allocated per soundproof window or other equally effective structural noise protection measure.2
The amount of the subsidy is negotiated between the Confederation and the canton.
