(Art. 28 para. 3 VPETA)

1. SERI shall approve only one initial and one advanced federal professional examination per professional field within a given economic branch.
2. SERI shall verify that:
   1. there is a public interest;
   2. there is no conflict with education policy or other public interest;
   3. there are enough sponsors to ensure that the examinations can be held all over Switzerland for the long-term;
   4. the content of the examinations matches the competences needed for the occupation;
   5. the title is clear, not misleading and cannot be mistaken for a title of any other qualification.
