Current through the 2025 Regular Session of the New Hampshire General Court.

No person is eligible to hold any municipal office, elective or appointive, who is not a citizen of the United States.

All officers appointed by the governor and council, or chosen by the legislature, may be removed by the governor, with consent of the council, upon address of both houses of the legislature.

The term of office of any appointed state official who delivers an undated resignation of his position to the appointing official for the position shall cease immediately upon such delivery. Any appointing official who accepts an undated resignation from a state official appointed by him shall, notwithstanding RSA title LXII, be subject to a fine of $1,000.
