2 CAR § 161-101. List of reportable diseases in Arkansas.

The diseases listed below are to be reported immediately to the Arkansas State Veterinarian’s office and/or the United States Department of Agriculture, Veterinary Services:

(1) OIE (Office International des Epizooties) List A and B diseases.

(A) List A:

(i) Foot and mouth disease (FMD, viruses 0, A, C, SAT 1, SAT 2, SAT 3, Asia 1, or not typed);

(ii) Vesicular stomatitis (VS, viruses Indiana, New Jersey, or not typed), B, E, P;

(iii) Swine vesicular disease;

(iv) Rinderpest;

(v) Peste des petits ruminants;

(vi) Contagious bovine pleuropneumonia;

(vii) Lumpy skin disease;

(viii) Rift valley fever;

(ix) Bluetongue;

(x) Sheep pox and goat pox;

(xi) African horse sickness;

(xii) African swine fever;

(xiii) Classical swine fever (hog cholera);

(xiv) Fowl plague (highly pathogenic avian influenza); and

(xv) Newcastle disease (exotic).

(B) List B multiple species:

(i) Anthrax;

(ii) Aujesky’s disease (pseudorabies);

(iii) Echinococcosis/hydatidosis;

(iv) Heartwater;

(v) Leptospirosis;

(vi) Q fever rabies;

(vii) Paratuberculosis (Johne’s disease);

(viii) New and Old World screwworm; and

(ix) Trichinelosis;

(2) Bovine. Includes:

(A) Bovine anaplasmosis;

(B) Bovine babesiosis;

(C) Bovine brucellosis;

(D) Bovine genital campylobacteriosis;

(E) Bovine tuberculosis;

(F) Bovine cysticercosis;

(G) Dermatophilosis;

(H) Enzootic bovine leukosis (BLV);

(I) Hemorrhagic septicemia;

(J) Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis/infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IBR/IPB);

(K) Theileriosis;

(L) Trichomonosis;

(M) Trypanosomosis (Tse-tse borne);

(N) Malignant catarrhal fever (bovine malignant catarrh, wildebeest associated); and

(O) Bovine spongiform encephalopathy;

(3) Caprine and ovine. Includes:

(A) Ovine epididymitise;

(B) Caprine and ovine brucellosis (excluding B. ovis);

(C) Caprine arthritis/encephalitis;

(D) Contagious agalactia;

(E) Contagious caprine;

(F) Pleuropneumonia;

(G) Enzootic abortion of ewes;

(H) Ovine pulmonary adenomatosis;

(I) Nairobi sheep disease;

(J) Salmonellosis;

(K) Scrapie; and

(L) Maedi-visna;

(4) Equine. Includes:

(A) Contagious equine metritis;

(B) Dourine;

(C) Epizootic lymphangitis;

(D) Equine encephalomyelitis (eastern-EEE and western-WEE);

(E) Equine infectious anemia;

(F) Equine influenza (virus Type A);

(G) Equine piroplasmosis;

(H) Equine rhinopneumonitis (EVH-1 and EVH-4);

(I) Glanders;

(J) Horse pox;

(K) Equine viral arteritis (EVA);

(L) Japanese encephalitis;

(M) Horse mange;

(N) Surra; and

(O) Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis (VEE);

(5) Porcine. Includes:

(A) Atrophic rhinitis of swine;

(B) Porcine cysticercosis;

(C) Porcine brucellosis;

(D) Transmissible gastroenteritis (TGE);

(E) Enterovirus encephalomyelitis; and

(F) Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS);

(6) Commercial poultry. Includes:

(A) Avian infectious bronchitis;

(B) Avian infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT);

(C) Avian tuberculosis;

(D) Duck virus hepatitis (DVH);

(E) Duck virus enteritis (DVE);

(F) Fowl cholera (avian pasteurellosis);

(G) Fowl pox;

(H) Fowl typhoid;

(I) Infectious bursal disease (Gumboro disease);

(J) Marek’s disease;

(K) Avian mycoplasmosis;

(L) Avian chlamydiosis (psittacosis and orthinosis); and

(M) Pullorum disease; and

(7) Commercial food fish. Includes:

(A) Viral hemorrhagic septicemia;

(B) Spring viremia of carp;

(C) Infectious hematopoietic necrosis;

(D) Epizootic hematopoietic necrosis; and

(E) Oncorhynchus masou virus disease.
