Motion GRANTED and Order filed October 21, 2026. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals ____________ NO. 14-26-01092-CV ____________ IN RE LISA DESIO JOHNSON, Relator ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS Probate Court No. 3 Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 508476 ORDER Relator Lisa DeSio Johnson filed a petition for writ of mandamus asking this court to order the trial court to vacate the portion of its October 15, 2026 order finding relator in contempt and ordering her to pay a $500 fine as a sanction within ten days. Relator also filed a motion asking this court to stay enforcement of the
2 contempt adjudication and fine in the trial court pending a decision on the petition for writ of mandamus. It appears from the facts stated in the petition and motion that relator’s request for relief requires further consideration and that relator will be prejudiced unless immediate temporary relief is granted. We therefore GRANT relator’s motion and issue the following order: We ORDER the portion of the October 15, 2026 order finding relator in contempt and ordering her to pay a $500 fine as a sanction within ten days in trial court cause number 508476 STAYED until a final decision by this court on relator’s petition for writ of mandamus, or until further order of this court. In addition, the court ORDERS Teresa Scardino, Jocelyn Thibodaux Slater, Laura Daugherty, and American National Bank & Trust, the real parties in interest, to file a response to (1) the emergency motion for temporary relief; and (2) the petition for writ of mandamus within 14 days from the date of this order. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.4. PER CURIAM Panel Consists of Justices Wise, Jewell, and Wilson.
