Motion Granted; Response Ordered; and Order filed October 16, 2026.
In The
Fourteenth Court of Appeals
____________
NO. 14-26-01085-CV
____________
IN RE BARDA MANAGEMENT, LLC AND RENAUD PLUMBING CO.,
INC., Relators
ORIGINAL PROCEEDING
WRIT OF MANDAMUS
125th District Court
Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2025-21052
ORDER
Relators Barda Management, LLC and Renaud Plumbing Co., Inc. filed a
petition for writ of mandamus, challenging the trial court’s October 6, 2026 order
denying their “Second Amended Joint Plea to the Jurisdiction.” They also filed a
motion for temporary relief, asking for a stay of the upcoming trial in the
underlying proceedings pending our resolution of their petition.
It appears from the facts stated in the petition and motion that relators’
requests for relief require further consideration and that relators will be prejudiced
unless immediate temporary relief is granted. We therefore GRANT relators’
motion and order the following:
We ORDER the trial in trial court cause number 2025-21052, styled Andres
Leva v. Barda Management, LLC; Renaud Plumbing Co., Inc.; Lennar
Corporation; U.S. Home, LLC; Lennar Homes of Texas Land and Construction,
LTD., STAYED until a final decision by this court on relators’ petition or until
further order of this court.
We ORDER real parties in interest Andres Leva; Lennar Corporation; U.S.
Home, LLC; and Lennar Homes of Texas Land and Construction, LTD. to file a
response to relators’ petition within 14 days from the date of this order.
PER CURIAM
Panel consists of Chief Justice Christopher and Justices Wise and Boatman.
