Judges
On the Court’s own motion, in light of the current online trial court register of actions
indicating that the ward in this case died during the pendency of this appeal, we ORDER appellant to file,
within 14 days after the date of this order, a supplemental brief not exceeding ten pages that addresses (1)
why appellant failed to notify this Court of the ward’s death and (2) why the death of the ward does not
render this appeal moot. Appellee may file a supplemental brief not exceeding ten pages in response
within 14 days after service of appellant’s supplemental brief. Alternatively, if appellant concludes that
this appeal is now moot (or otherwise no longer wishes to pursue the appeal), he may file a motion to
withdraw the appeal per MCR 7.218(A) or, if appellee is agreeable, a stipulation to dismiss the appeal per
MCR 7.218(B), within 14 days after the date of this order.
