The delayed application for leave to appeal two parenting-time-related orders entered by
Wayne Circuit Court Judge Lawrence Elassal on March 25, 2025, and May 21, 2025 is DENIED as moot.
A subsequent order entered January 26, 2026 by a different Wayne Circuit Court Judge, granted the father
supervised parenting time with the minor child—while also ordering him to submit to a psychological
evaluation. The issues raised in the application are now moot as a result of the January 26, 2026 Order.
See, e.g., Allen Park Retirees Ass’n, Inc v City of Allen Park, 329 Mich App 430, 442; 942 NW2d 618
(2019) (“An issue is moot when a subsequent event makes it impossible for this Court to grant relief.”).
