Court of Appeals, State of Michigan
ORDER
IN RE GUARDIANSHIP OF CAG
Docket No. 379738
LC No. 24-216166-GA
Stephen L. Borrello, Chief Judge Pro Tem, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1) and MCR
7.211(E)(2), orders:
The fee waiver request is treated as a motion to waive fees and is GRANTED for this
appeal only.
The motion for reconsideration is GRANTED. The April 7, 2026 order is VACATED.
On the Court’s own motion, the claim of appeal, motion to extend time to file appellant’s
brief, and motion “for order directing preparation of transcripts at public expense” are now DISMISSED
for lack of jurisdiction. Appellant’s March 5, 2026 claim of appeal was taken from the February 12, 2026
order denying CAG’s petition to terminate or modify the guardianship of CAG. Appellant is not aggrieved
by that order. MCR 7.203(A); MCR 5.801(A). Further, to the extent that appellant is also attempting to
claim an appeal from the February 12, 2026 order that denied the petition that appellant filed in the probate
court on December 12, 2025, a timely claim of appeal was not taken from that order. MCR 7.204(A)(1)(a).
Dismissal is without prejudice to whatever other relief may be available consistent with the court rules.
