ORDER
JENNIFER R DOYLE V TOWNSHIP OF BEAVERTON
Docket No. 379052
LC No. 25-003199
Allie Greenleaf Maldonado
Presiding Judge

Judges
Pursuant to MCR 7.211(C)(4) and MCR 7.205(E)(2), and in lieu of granting the delayed
application for leave to appeal, we REVERSE the October 21, 2025 order of the Tax Tribunal and
REMAND for the Tax Tribunal to hear and decide petitioner’s appeal. Petitioner brought her petitions
before the July Board of Review, but the Board of Review failed to rule on her petitions. By protesting
before the Board of Review, petitioner “adequately invoked the jurisdiction of the Tribunal under MCL
205.735a(3),” notwithstanding the Board of Review’s failure to render a decision. See Butler v Detroit,
345 Mich App 536, 549; 7 NW3d 65 (2023). Consistent with our decision in Butler, we REMAND for
the Tax Tribunal to conduct a de novo review of petitioner’s appeal. We do not retain jurisdiction.
