ORDER
PEOPLE OF MI V LANCE ALVIN WILLSON
Docket No. 372946
LC No. 21-001686-FH

On May 27, 2026, this Court granted defendant-appellant’s motion for immediate
consideration. People v Wilson, unpublished order of the Court of Appeals, entered May 27, 2026 (Docket
No. 372946). And, on its own motion, this Court held defendant-appellant’s motion for partial peremptory
reversal in abeyance until further order of this Court and remanded the case to the circuit court to
reconsider whether defendant-appellant was entitled to an additional 56 days of jail credit. Id. On remand,
the circuit court concluded defendant was entitled to additional sentencing credit.
After remand, this Court DENIES defendant-appellant’s motion for partial peremptory
reversal under MCR 7.211(C)(4) because it is moot. See People v Ward, 491 Mich 945; 815 NW2d 472
(2012); People v Billings, 283 Mich App 538, 548; 770 NW2d 893 (2009) (“Because defendant has
already received the relief that [he] requested, this issue is moot.”).
