ORDER
ANN ELIZABETH PEOPLES V GARETH MATTHEW TERENCE PEOPLES
Docket No. 379740
LC No. 19-002021-DM
Michael F. Gadola, Chief Judge, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1), orders:
The “fee waiver request” is treated as a motion to waive fees and is GRANTED for this
appeal only.
The claim of appeal is DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction. The February 12, 2026 order
denying reconsideration is not a final order that may be appealed by right, i.e. the filing of a claim of
appeal. Nye v Gable, Nelson & Murphy, 169 Mich App 411, 415; 425 NW2d 797 (1988). Additionally,
the December 4, 2025 order, which denied appellant’s objection to a referee’s recommended order
regarding child support, is not defined as a final order that may be appealed by right. MCR 7.203(A)(1);
MCR 7.202(6). Dismissal is without prejudice to appellant filing a late application for leave to appeal the
orders under MCR 7.205(A)(4), provided such a filing meets all requirements under the court rules and is
not time-barred.
