Omnilex summary

The Federal Supreme Court did not enter into the criminal complaint because the complainant failed to pay the CHF 2,000 advance on costs within the set time limit, even after an extended deadline and warning of non-entry. The court held that service of the extension order was effective and that the advance remained unpaid. The complainant was ordered to pay court costs of CHF 800.

Urteil vom 14. Februar 2012
Strafrechtliche Abteilung

Besetzung
Bundesrichter Schneider, Einzelrichter,
Gerichtsschreiber C. Monn.

Verfahrensbeteiligte
X.________,
Beschwerdeführer,

gegen

Gemeindeverwaltung Meilen, Abteilung Sicherheit, Dorfstrasse 100, 8706 Meilen,
Beschwerdegegnerin.

Gegenstand
Rückzug einer Einsprache (Busse),

Beschwerde gegen die Verfügung des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, vom 28. Oktober 2011.

Der Einzelrichter zieht in Erwägung:

1.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
