Der Beschwerdeführer meldete am 24. Juni 2008 innert Frist gegen das ihm am 28. Mai 2008 zugestellte Urteil des Obergerichts des Kantons Bern vom 15. Februar 2008 Beschwerde in Strafsachen an. Die von ihm in der Anmeldung angekündigte Beschwerdeergänzung übergab er am 2. Juli 2008 der Post. Während die Anmeldung keine hinreichende Begründung im Sinne von Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG enthält, ist die Ergänzung verspätet eingereicht worden. Auf die Beschwerde ist im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Ausnahmsweise kann auf eine Kostenauflage verzichtet werden.

Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Es werden keine Kosten erhoben.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, 1. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
