Das Präsidium zieht in Erwägung:

Nachdem der Beschwerdeführer im kantonalen Berufungsverfahren die Frist zur Leistung einer Einschreibegebühr verpasst hatte, wurde das Verfahren am 7. März 2007 formlos abgeschrieben. In der Folge wies der Präsident der Strafkammer des Kantonsgerichts St. Gallen ein Wiederherstellungsgesuch am 13. April 2007 mit der Begründung ab, dass es dem Beschwerdeführer zumutbar gewesen wäre, das Gericht über die nach Ablauf der Frist erwartete Auszahlung der Arbeitslosenentschädigung rechtzeitig (d.h. innert der Zahlungsfrist) zu orientieren (angefochtener Entscheid S. 3 E. 4). Der Beschwerdeführer macht vor Bundesgericht geltend, er habe die verspätete Zahlung nicht verschuldet (Beschwerde Ziff. 4). Darauf ist nicht einzutreten, weil er sich mit dem Argument der Vorinstanz, er hätte dem Gericht innert Frist melden müssen, dass er nach Ablauf der Frist Geld erwarte, nicht auseinandersetzt. Inwieweit die Vorinstanz das verspätet doch noch einbezahlte Geld nicht als Gerichtsgebühr hätte einbehalten dürfen (Beschwerde Ziff. 5), wird in der Beschwerde mit keinem Wort begründet, weshalb sie auch insoweit die Begründungsanforderungen von Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG nicht erfüllt. Die übrigen Vorbringen gehen an der Sache vorbei. Auf die Beschwerde ist im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).

Demnach erkennt das Präsidium:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtsgebühr von Fr. 500.-- wird dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird dem Beschwerdeführer, der Staatsanwaltschaft des Kantons St. Gallen und dem Kantonsgericht St. Gallen, Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
