Verfassungsbeschwerde gegen die Verfügung des Kantonsgerichts Schwyz, Kantonsgerichtsvizepräsidentin, vom 20. Dezember 2011.
In Erwägung,
dass das Bezirksgericht Höfe mit Urteil vom 22. August 2011 eine Klage des Beschwerdeführers gegen den Beschwerdegegner auf Zahlung von total Fr. 19'602.90 abwies, soweit es darauf eintrat;
dass das Kantonsgericht Schwyz mit Verfügung vom 20. Dezember 2011 auf die vom Beschwerdeführer gegen das Urteil des Bezirksgerichts erhobene Berufung nicht eintrat;
dass der Beschwerdeführer dem Bundesgericht eine vom 21. Januar 2012 datierte Eingabe einreichte, aus der sich ergibt, dass er den Entscheid des Kantonsgerichts anfechten will;
dass das Bundesgericht von Amtes wegen prüft, ob ein Rechtsmittel zulässig ist (BGE 137 III 417 E. 1; 136 II 101 E. 1, 470 E. 1; 135 III 212 E. 1);
dass gegen die Verfügung des Kantonsgerichts eine Beschwerde in Zivilsachen im vorliegenden Fall nicht zulässig ist, weil der erforderliche Streitwert von Fr. 30'000.-- (Art. 74 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG) nicht erreicht wird und sich keine Rechtsfrage von grundsätzlicher Bedeutung im Sinne von Art. 74 Abs. 2 lit. a BGG stellt;
dass die Eingabe des Beschwerdeführers unter diesen Umständen als subsidiäre Verfassungsbeschwerde im Sinne von Art. 113 ff. BGG zu behandeln ist;
dass mit einer subsidiären Verfassungsbeschwerde nur die Verletzung von verfassungsmässigen Rechten gerügt werden kann (Art. 116 BGG);
dass in der Beschwerdeschrift dargelegt werden muss, welche verfassungsmässigen Rechte durch das kantonale Gericht verletzt worden sind, und solche Rügen unter Bezugnahme auf die Erwägungen des angefochtenen Entscheides zu begründen sind (Art. 42 Abs. 2 und Art. 106 Abs. 2 in Verbindung mit Art. 117 BGG);
dass die Eingabe der Beschwerdeführers keine auch nur im Ansatz substanziierte Verfassungsrüge enthält;
dass aus diesen Gründen auf die offensichtlich unzulässige Beschwerde im Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG nicht einzutreten ist;
dass die Kosten des bundesgerichtlichen Verfahrens dem Verfahrensausgang entsprechend dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);

erkennt die Präsidentin:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Kantonsgericht Schwyz, Kantonsgerichtsvizepräsidentin, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
