in die Vernehmlassung des Amtes für Migration Basel-Landschaft vom 6. April 2011, woraus sich ergibt, dass der Beschwerdeführer schon seit mindestens 7. März 2011 ausgereist war,
in das bundesgerichtliche Schreiben vom 13. April 2011, womit der Beschwerdeführer aufgefordert wurde, sich zur Fortsetzung des Verfahrens trotz Ausreise zu äussern,
in das Schreiben des Beschwerdeführers vom 2. Mai 2011, womit die Beschwerde zurückgezogen wird,
in Erwägung,
dass das Verfahren gestützt auf Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG mit Verfügung des Abteilungspräsidenten (vgl. Art. 32 Abs. 1 BGG) abgeschrieben werden kann,
dass unter den gegebenen Umständen die reduzierten Gerichtskosten (Art. 65 in Verbindung mit Art. 66 Abs. 2 BGG) dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind und kein Anspruch auf Parteientschädigung besteht,
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 200.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Verfahrensbeteiligten, dem Kantonsgericht Basel-Landschaft, Abteilung Verfassungs- und Verwaltungsrecht, und dem Bundesamt für Migration schriftlich mitgeteilt.
