Art. 51abis

The following are not subject to the obligation to manage and dispose of nuclear waste in accordance with Article 31 NEA:

1. low-level radioactive waste that may be discharged into the environment in accordance with Articles 111–116 RPO¹;
2. radioactive waste that may be placed in decay storage in accordance with Article 117 RPO.
