(Art. 55 VPETA)

1. Federal subsidies for specific activities that serve the public interest in accordance with Article 55 VPETA shall cover no more than 60 per cent of the total corresponding expenditure. In justifiable cases, this threshold may be extended to a maximum of 80 per cent. 1bis. …¹
2. Subsidy amounts shall vary according to:
   1. the degree of interest;
   2. the likelihood that applicants will provide services themselves;
   3. the urgency of the measure.
3. Activities shall be subsidised for a period not exceeding five years. This period may be extended.
