The provisions in force for Swiss patent applications apply to the patent application arising from the conversion, subject to Article 137 paragraph 1 of the European Patent Convention.
The claims of a patent application resulting from the conversion of a European patent may not be drafted in such a way that the extent of protection conferred by the patent is extended.
