Membership shall lapse on the death of the member.
However, the articles of association may stipulate that the member’s heirs automatically become members of the cooperative.
Further, the articles of association may stipulate that the heirs or one of two or more heirs must, on written request, be recognised as member in place of the deceased member.
The community of heirs must appoint a joint representative to act as a member of the cooperative.
