If the work is destroyed by chance after delivery to the publisher, he remains obliged to pay the author’s remuneration.
If the author has a second copy of the destroyed work, he must make it available to the publisher, and otherwise he must recreate the work where this is possible with little effort.
In either case he is entitled to appropriate compensation.
