Where the parties have expressly or tacitly agreed to a limited duration, the usufructuary lease comes to an end on expiry thereof without any need for notice to be given.
If the usufructuary lease is tacitly continued, it is deemed to have been extended on the same terms and conditions for a further year unless otherwise agreed.
A party may terminate the extended usufructuary lease by giving the legally prescribed period of notice expiring at the end of a lease year.
