Art. 1136

1. The presentation and protest of a cheque must take place on a working day.
2. Where the last day of a time limit within which an action in connection with the cheque must be taken, in particular presentation, protest or an equivalent declaration, falls on a Sunday or a public holiday¹, the time limit is extended to include the next working day.

Holidays falling within the time limit are included when computing it.
