The endorsement must be unconditional. Conditions attached to the endorsement are deemed unwritten.
A partial endorsement is void.
Likewise, an endorsement by the drawee is void.
An endorsement to the bearer is deemed a blank endorsement.
An endorsement to the drawee is deemed merely a receipt, unless the drawee has several branch offices and the endorsement is made out to a different office from that on which the cheque is drawn.
