Every holder of a bill of exchange is entitled to make copies of it.
The copy must be an exact reproduction of the original instrument with endorsements and all other notes and comments appended thereto. It must bear an indication of how far the copy extends.
The copy may be endorsed and have a declaration of guarantee added to it in the same manner and with the same effects as the original bill.
