The property under joint ownership in undivided shares is owned collectively by all the co-owners.
The co-owners are jointly and severally liable for debts encumbering such property.
Except where otherwise agreed, all property belonging to a co-owner besides that owned collectively in undivided shares, and all property inherited or acquired in some other manner without valuable consideration during the co-ownership is the personal property of that co-owner.
