The spouses’ mutual entitlements to termination benefits or a share of a pension are offset. The pension entitlement is offset before the share of the pension awarded to the entitled spouse is converted into a life-long pension.
Termination benefits may only be offset against a share of a pension if the spouses and the occupational pension institutions agree.
