The Federal Office and the departments shall designate at least one advisor for the implementation of the principle of freedom of information. The advisor shall have the following duties:

  1. advising the administrative units, persons and organisations outside the Federal Administration, subject to the Freedom of Information Act;
  2. disseminating information and training staff;
  3. participating in the implementation of legislation on the principle of freedom of information.
