SEM is responsible for the security of N-ETIAS and the legality of the processing of personal data.
The Federal Council shall regulate:
the organisation and operation of the system;
the list of data for the systems and the extent of access rights granted to the authorities mentioned in Article 108
h
;
the technical and organisational aspects of measures to prevent unauthorised processing;
the procedure for consulting the federal and cantonal authorities;
the processing of and response to consultation requests relating to ETIAS application processing;
the processing of data on the ETIAS watchlist;
the retention period and deletion of the data.
