The Confederation shall legislate in the field of organ, tissue and cell transplants. In doing so, it shall ensure the protection of human dignity, privacy and health.
It shall in particular lay down criteria for the fair allocation of organs.
Any donation of human organs, tissue and cells must be free of charge. The trade in human organs is prohibited.
