AN ACT

Amending the act of June 17, 2024 (P.L.403, No.26), entitled "An act providing for crematory regulation," further providing for work practice standards.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Section 3(1) of the act of June 17, 2024 (P.L.403, No.26), known as the Crematory Regulation Act, is amended to read:

Section 3. Work practice standards.

Crematories for which construction commenced after April 17, 1989, shall comply with the following work practice standards:

[(1) The crematory incinerator shall provide an interlock system that precludes charging of the primary chamber until the secondary or last chamber exit temperature is established and holding at 1600 degrees Fahrenheit.]

Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
