AN ACT
1 Authorizing and directing the Department of General Services,
2 with the approval of the Governor and the Department of
3 Agriculture, to convey to Snyder County a tract of land and
4 the buildings erected thereon in Penn Township, Snyder
5 County; and making a repeal.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The Department of General Services, with the
9 approval of the Governor and the Department of Agriculture, is
10 hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Commonwealth of
11 Pennsylvania, to grant and convey for a consideration equal to
12 one-half of the fair market value as determined by an
13 independent appraiser selected by the Department of General
14 Services to Snyder County, the following described tract of land
15 and the buildings erected thereon:
16 All that certain piece or parcel of land situate in Penn
17 Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bounded
18 and described as follows, to wit:
19 Beginning at a spike in the centerline of L.R. 54068 at the
1 southwest corner of the described tract of land, said spike
2 being 4,083.00 feet along the centerline of L.R. 54068 from the
3 centerline intersection with L.R. 54042, also being north 01
4 degree 59 minutes west, a distance of 62.90 feet from the
5 northeast corner of Well House No. 6; thence along lands of the
6 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, north 15 degrees 14 minutes west,
7 a distance of 345.82 feet to an iron pin; thence along the same,
8 north 42 degrees 02 minutes west, a distance of 130.49 feet to
9 an iron pin; thence along the same, north 32 degrees 18 minutes
10 west, a distance of 105.06 feet to an iron pin; thence along the
11 same, north 81 degrees 18 minutes east, a distance of 482.38
12 feet to an iron pin; thence along the same south 01 degree 02
13 minutes west, a distance of 220.35 feet to an iron pin; thence
14 along the same south 66 degrees 22 minutes east, a distance of
15 155.90 feet to an iron pin; thence along the same south 45
16 degrees 45 minutes east, a distance of 247.34 feet to a spike in
17 the centerline of L.R. 54068; thence along the centerline of
18 L.R. 54068 on a curve to the left with a radius of 572.96 feet,
19 arc distance of 100.13 feet and a chord bearing and distance of
20 south 86 degrees 41 minutes west, a distance of 100.06 feet to a
21 spike in the centerline of L.R. 54068; thence along the same on
22 a curve to the left with a radius of 1,637.02 feet, arc distance
23 of 478.68 feet and a chord bearing and distance of south 74
24 degrees and 02 minutes west, a distance of 476.98 feet to the
25 point of beginning. Containing 5.21 acres, including .22 acre
26 road right-of-way.
27 Section 2. The conveyance shall be made under and subject to
28 all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including but
29 not confined to streets, roadways, and rights of any telephone,
30 telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as

1 well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
2 vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for
3 any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon.
4 Section 3. The land and buildings shall only be used for
5 expansion of the county's prison facilities and if at any time
6 the property is used for other purposes the title thereto shall
7 immediately revert to and revest in the Commonwealth of
8 Pennsylvania.
9 Section 4. The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
10 provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
11 General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
12 Pennsylvania.
13 Section 5. Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
14 shall be borne by the grantee.
15 Section 6. Section 6 of the act of December 31, 1984
16 (P.L.1227, No.233), entitled "An act authorizing the Department
17 of General Services, with the approval of the Governor and the
18 Department of Health, to convey two tracts of land located in
19 Westtown Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, to Gaudenzia,
20 Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, and the Township of
21 Westtown; authorizing and directing the Department of General
22 Services, with the approval of the Governor and the Department
23 of Environmental Resources, to convey to the Catholic Diocese of
24 Altoona-Johnstown 0.810 acres and to Mrs. Edith Casper 0.885
25 acres of land situate in Noyes Township, Clinton County,
26 Pennsylvania; authorizing and directing the Department of
27 General Services, with the approval of the Governor and the
28 Department of Agriculture, to convey to the East Allen Township
29 Volunteer Ambulance Corps a certain tract of land, with
30 improvements, situate in East Allen Township, Northampton

1 County, Pennsylvania; with the approval of the Governor, to join
2 with Conewango Township in Warren County in the conveyance of a
3 parcel of land, at a fair market value, to West Penn Oil
4 Corporation, Inc.; authorizing and directing the Department of
5 General Services, with the approval of the Governor, to convey a
6 right-of-way to Jeffrey W. Shank and Roberta L. Shank, his wife,
7 over certain lands in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County,
8 Pennsylvania; authorizing and directing the Department of
9 General Services and the Department of Agriculture, with the
10 approval of the Governor, to convey to Lifecare Associates,
11 Inc., a tract of land and the buildings erected thereon in Penn
12 Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania; authorizing and directing
13 the Department of General Services, with the approval of the
14 Governor and the Secretary of Public Welfare, to convey to the
15 City of Allentown a parcel of land situate in the City of
16 Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; authorizing and
17 directing the Department of General Services, with the approval
18 of the Governor and the Department of Public Welfare, to convey
19 a tract of land to the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5 of
20 Philadelphia, situate in the city and county of Philadelphia,
21 Pennsylvania; and authorizing the Department of General
22 Services, with the approval of the Governor and the Department
23 of Agriculture, to convey to East Norriton Fire Company 2.2856
24 acres of land, more or less, situate in East Norriton Township,
25 Montgomery County, Pennsylvania," is repealed.
26 Section 7. This act shall take effect immediately.
