Court of Appeals, State of Michigan
ORDER
IN RE PETITION OF HOUGHTON COUNTY TREASURER FOR
FORECLOSURE
Docket No. 378211
LC No. 20-017403-CZ
Adrienne N. Young
Presiding Judge

Judges
The motion to file a late answer is GRANTED and the answer filed by appellee is accepted.
The motion to file a late reply is GRANTED and the reply filed by appellants is accepted.
Pursuant to MCR 7.211(C)(4) and MCR 7.205(E)(2), and in lieu of granting the delayed
application for leave to appeal, and notwithstanding that appellants have not preserved the particular notice
issue raised on appeal and have not demonstrated how the notice was deficient, we exercise our discretion
to VACATE the May 14, 2025 order in part and REMAND to the circuit court to hear and decide
appellants’ notice issue. Appellants raised a notice issue prior to the issuance of the court’s May 14, 2025
order, but the order does not address the matter. On remand, the court shall decide the notice issue and
provide a written order sufficient to facilitate meaningful appellate review.
In all other respects the delayed application is DENIED for lack of merit in the grounds
presented.
We do not retain jurisdiction.
