The motion to waive fees is GRANTED for this appeal only.
The claim of appeal is DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction. MCR 5.801 (A)(1) provides
an appeal of right from a “final order, as defined in MCR 7.202(6)(a), affecting the rights or interests of a
party to a civil action commenced in the probate court.” The April 9, 2026 and April 20, 2026
postjudgment orders are not final pursuant to any definitions set forth in MCR 7.202(6)(a), and appellant
was not entitled to an appeal of right from either order. Dismissal is without prejudice to the filing of a
late appeal under MCR 7.205(A)(4), provided such a filing meets all requirements under the court rules
and is not time-barred.
