Mark T. Boonstra, Judge, acting under MCR 7.211(E)(2), orders:
The “motion to file late transcripts” is DENIED. Appellant’s counsel shall, if she has not
already done so, order the March 23, 2024 and March 26, 2024 transcripts on an expedited basis and
ensure they are filed in the trial court. MCR 7.210(B)(1) (appellant is responsible for securing the filing
of the full transcript of testimony and other proceedings in the trial court). The time for filing appellant’s
brief shall not begin to run anew, pursuant to MCR 7.212(A)(1)(a)(iii), upon the filing of the late-ordered
March 23, 2024 and March 26, 2024 transcripts; such a request is unreasonable when appellant’s brief
was originally due for this appeal on July 14, 2025. The time for filing appellant’s brief shall run pursuant
to MCR 7.208. This order is entered without prejudice to appellant’s counsel moving to file a
supplemental brief on appeal if the March 23, 2024 and/or March 26, 2024 transcripts are not produced
for counsel’s review before the brief deadline pursuant to MCR 7.208. The motion, if one is filed, must
be filed within 28 days of the filing of the late-ordered transcripts with the trial court and be accompanied
by a proposed supplemental brief.
