DEFENDANT-APPELLANT’S NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF
PENDING MOTION TO WITHDRAW AS COUNSEL OF RECORD

NOW COMES Attorney Tameka L. Tucker (P85402) of TLT Law, PLLC, counsel of
record for Defendant-Appellant Joey Dyer, and respectfully files this Notice of Withdrawal of
the pending Motion to Withdraw as Counsel of Record in this Court, and in support states as
follows:
1. On June 18, 2026, the Michigan Supreme Court entered an order remanding this
matter to the Court of Appeals for further proceedings, and this Court subsequently reopened
Docket No. 377247.
2. On July 10, 2026, this Court issued a briefing schedule on remand establishing
that Defendant-Appellant’s brief is due on August 13, 2026.
3. On July 15, 2026, Counsel filed a formal Motion to Withdraw as Counsel of
Record in this Court because Counsel's representation under the Engagement Agreement had
terminated by its own terms upon the conclusion of proceedings in the Supreme Court and
Defendant had not yet re-engaged Counsel or executed a new agreement to secure representation
for the reopened proceedings on remand.
4. On July 17, 2026, Defendant-Appellant’s benefactor, Timothy Beeman, contacted
TLT Law, PLLC and retained Attorney Tameka L. Tucker to represent Defendant-Appellant Joey
Dyer in these reopened proceedings on remand in the Court of Appeals, until this Court issues
appealable decision in the pending matter.
5. Because the contractual and financial conditions underlying the prior Motion to
Withdraw have been resolved, Counsel hereby WITHDRAWS the pending Motion to Withdraw
as Counsel of Record filed on July 15, 2026.
6. This withdrawal occurs well in advance of the current briefing deadline. The
Appellant’s brief remains due on August 13, 2026, absent any further extension by this Court,

and Counsel is prepared to diligently research, prepare, and file the Appellant's brief on remand
within the established timeframe.
7. Counsel confirms that Tameka L. Tucker and TLT Law, PLLC, will continue as
counsel of record for Defendant-Appellant Joey Dyer in these reopened proceedings on remand
until this Court issues an appealable decision in the pending matter.

RELIEF REQUESTED
WHEREFORE, Defendant-Appellant Joey Dyer, by and through his counsel of record,
Tameka L. Tucker, respectfully requests this Honorable Court to:
1. MARK Defendant-Appellant’s Motion to Withdraw as Counsel of Record, filed
on July 15, 2026, as WITHDRAWN;
2. REMOVE said Motion from the Court's hearing calendar; and
3. MAINTAIN Tameka L. Tucker and TLT Law, PLLC, as counsel of record for
Defendant-Appellant Joey Dyer in Court of Appeals Case No. 377247.
