Court within 28 days of the date of this order. The supplemental briefs shall address whether an award of
attorney fees under MCR 3.206(D)(2)(b) for noncompliance with a court order constitutes an order of
compensatory civil contempt that this Court lacks jurisdiction to review on an appeal of right under Alpena
Co Bd of Co Rd Comm’rs v Tadajewski, ___ Mich App ___ (2025) (Docket No. 374166). The Family
Law and Appellate Practice Sections of the State Bar of Michigan are invited to file briefs amicus curiae.
Other persons or groups interested in the determination of the issues presented in this case may move the
Court for permission to file briefs amicus curiae.
The Clerk’s Office shall send copies of this order to the Family Law and Appellate Practice
Sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
