ORDER
By 	its 	own motion, 	the Public 	Employment Relations 	Board
(PERB or Board) 	hereby ORDERS 	that 	the hearing 	in Calipatria
Unified School District. 	Case No. 	LA-CE-2792, 	be stayed pending
the 	Board's 	decision on the Calipatria 	Unified 	School 	District's
(District) 	request 	for stay of hearing and appeal 	of 	the denial
of 	a motion to dismiss 	the 	complaint and defer an unfair practice
charge 	to 	final 	and binding arbitration.
Following 	the 	issuance 	of 	the 	administrative 	law 	judge's
ruling on the motion, 	the District 	filed 	a 	timely appeal 	of 	the
decision and 	request 	for a 	stay 	in accordance with 	Regulations
32646(b) 	and 32370.l However, 	the filings on the appeal, 	request
for 	stay and responses 	thereof, 	will not be 	complete 	and before
the Board until June 	19, 	1989. 	The hearing is 	scheduled for
June 	12, 	1989. 	This action is taken in the interest of economy,
IPERB 	Regulations 	are 	codified 	at 	California Administrative
Code, 	title 8, 	section 31001 et seq.
