On 3 June 1993, the National Council considered three Swisslex insurance draft bills linked to the rejection of the EEA Agreement: an amendment concerning life-insurance claims guarantees, a federal law on direct life insurance, and an amendment to the damage insurance act. In each item, entry into debate was accepted without opposition, the commission's proposal was adopted, and the draft was approved in the final vote, in one case unanimously. The documents were then sent to the Council of States.
