P. filed an administrative-law appeal against a judgment of the Federal Commission of Appeal in AVS/AI matters for persons residing abroad. Before the Federal Insurance Court could decide the merits, the appellant, now represented by S., withdrew the appeal by letter of 10 February 2000. The court therefore struck the case from the docket and ordered that no court costs be collected. The decision was communicated to the parties, the Commission, and the Federal Social Insurance Office.
Withdrawal of an appeal in administrative social-insurance proceedings; the appellate court must strike the matter from the roll once the appeal is validly withdrawn. In such a case, the merits are no longer adjudicated and the proceedings are terminated without substantive review (consid. 1). As a rule, no justice fees are levied where the court merely takes note of the withdrawal and removes the case from the docket (consid. 2).

attendu que par lettre du 10 février 2000, la recourante, représentée désormais par S.________, a retiré son recours,
par ces motifs,

I. La cause I 160/99 est rayée du rôle ensuite du retrait
du recours.
II. Il n'est pas perçu de frais de justice.
III. La présente décision sera communiquée aux parties, à
la Commission fédérale de recours en matière d'assu-
rance-vieillesse, survivants et invalidité pour les
personnes résidant à l'étranger, et à l'Office fédéral
des assurances sociales.
