The claimant appealed a Zurich social insurance judgment in an invalidity-insurance matter. After his request for free legal aid had been denied as hopeless, he withdrew the appeal in writing. The Federal Supreme Court therefore struck the appeal from the docket as withdrawn and ordered that no court costs be levied. The decision was notified to the parties, the cantonal social insurance court, the Federal Compensation Office, and the Federal Office for Social Insurance.
Appeal withdrawal in administrative social insurance proceedings; once the appellant expressly withdraws the appeal, the Federal Supreme Court removes the matter from the docket. If the withdrawal follows a refusal of legal aid for lack of prospects, the appeal is not adjudicated on the merits; in the absence of special circumstances, no court costs are levied (consid. 1-2).

Juni 2007 im Anschluss an den Entscheid vom 11. Juni 2007, mit welchem sein Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wegen Aussichtslosigkeit der Beschwerde abgewiesen worden war, zurückgezogen hat,
beschliesst das Bundesgericht:

Die Verwaltungsgerichtsbeschwerde wird als durch Rückzug erledigt vom Geschäftsverzeichnis abgeschrieben.
2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieser Entscheid wird den Parteien, dem Sozialversicherungsgericht des Kantons Zürich, der Eidgenössischen Ausgleichskasse und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen zugestellt.
