W.________ appealed a Federal Administrative Court judgment in an invalidity-insurance case and sought reconsideration and recognition of an invalidity rate above 53%. An appeal must contain specific conclusions, reasons and evidence, and must explain, at least succinctly, why the challenged decision violates federal law or rests on incorrect findings of fact within the meaning of Art. 97(1) LTF. Mere disagreement with the assessment of health status or invalidity, without addressing the lower court’s reasoning, is insufficient. If these formal requirements are manifestly not met, the court may refuse to enter into the matter in summary procedure. Costs may be waived in the circumstances pursuant to Art. 66(1) second sentence LTF.

Vu:
le recours interjeté le 4 octobre 2011 par W.________ contre le jugement rendu le 20 septembre 2011 par le Tribunal administratif fédéral, Cour III,
considérant:
qu'aux termes de l'art. 42 LTF, le recours doit indiquer les conclusions, les motifs et les moyens de preuve (al. 1) et exposer succinctement en quoi l'acte attaqué est contraire au droit (al. 2),
que le recourant se contente en l'occurrence d'invoquer une péjoration de son état de santé, de requérir le réexamen de son cas et de conclure à la reconnaissance d'un taux d'invalidité supérieur à 53 %,
qu'on ne peut pas déduire de ces considérations en quoi les constatations de la juridiction de première instance (portant essentiellement sur l'amélioration de l'état de santé de l'assuré et l'évaluation de son invalidité) seraient inexactes (au sens de l'art. 97 al. 1 LTF) ni en quoi l'acte attaqué serait contraire au droit,
que, partant, le recours doit être déclaré irrecevable selon la procédure simplifiée de l'art. 108 al. 1 let. b LTF, dès lors qu'il ne répond manifestement pas aux exigences de l'art. 42 al. 1 et 2 LTF,
que, vu les circonstances, il convient de renoncer à percevoir des frais judiciaires (art. 66 al. 1 seconde phrase LTF),

par ces motifs, le Président prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.

2.
Il n'est pas perçu de frais judiciaires.

3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties, au Tribunal administratif fédéral, Cour III, et à l'Office fédéral des assurances sociales.
