The appellant withdrew its appeal against the cantonal social-insurance judgment. The Federal Supreme Court therefore struck the case from the docket. Invoking Art. 71 BGG in conjunction with Art. 73 para. 1 BZP and the procedure of Art. 32 para. 2 BGG, the President discontinued the proceedings. Court costs were waived under Art. 66 para. 2 BGG. The decision was communicated to the parties, the cantonal court, and the Federal Social Insurance Office.

dass in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird,
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Bern, Sozialversicherungsrechtliche Abteilung, und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
