Der Einzelrichter zieht in Erwägung:

Die Vorinstanz trat am 11. August 2012 auf ein Revisionsgesuch gegen ein Strafmandat des Untersuchungsrichteramtes III Bern-Mittelland vom 29. September 2010 nicht ein, weil der Beschwerdeführer bereits im Einspruchsverfahren gegen das Mandat hätte geltend machen können, dass er nicht Halter des in Frage stehenden Fahrzeugs sei und nicht er unweit seines Domizils geparkt habe (angefochtener Entscheid S. 3 E. 7). Vor Bundesgericht könnte nur geprüft werden, ob die Vorinstanz auf diese Vorbringen im Rahmen eines Revisionsverfahrens hätte eintreten müssen. Mit dieser Frage befasst sich der Beschwerdeführer indessen nicht. Stattdessen bestreitet er nur erneut seine Täterschaft. Mit dieser Frage, die von der Vorinstanz nicht geprüft wurde, kann sich das Bundesgericht nicht befassen. Auf die Beschwerde ist mangels hinreichender Begründung im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG). Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege ist in Anwendung von Art. 64 BGG abzuweisen, weil die Rechtsbegehren aussichtslos erschienen. Der finanziellen Lage des Beschwerdeführers ist bei der Bemessung der Gerichtskosten Rechnung zu tragen (Art. 65 Abs. 2 BGG).

Demnach erkennt der Einzelrichter:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.

3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, Strafabteilung, 2. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
