Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Im angefochtenen Entscheid wurde der kantonale Rekurs des Beschwerdeführers gegen die Einstellung der Strafuntersuchung wegen Tätlichkeiten ("Wegstossen mit Bauch und verschränkten Armen") sowie das Gesuch um Bestellung eines unentgeltlichen Rechtsbeistand abgewiesen. Der Beschwerdeführer wendet sich an das Bundesgericht. Als Anzeigesteller bzw. Geschädigter ist der Beschwerdeführer, der nicht Opfer im Sinne des Opferhilfegesetzes ist, zur Beschwerde nicht legitimiert (BGG 133 IV 228). Soweit er unter Verweis auf Art. 5, 8, 9, 12, 29 ff. BV, Art. 6 und 14 EMRK sowie Art. 10 und 11 KV/ZH eine Verletzung des Anspruchs auf unentgeltliche Rechtspflege geltend macht, genügen seine Ausführungen den Begründungsanforderungen von Art. 106 Abs. 2 BGG nicht. Im Übrigen verkennt er in diesem Zusammenhang, dass dieser Anspruch nicht allein die Bedürftigkeit der betroffenen Person voraussetzt, sondern dass auch die Begehren nicht aussichtslos erscheinen dürfen (vgl. BGE 128 I 225 E. 2.5; 117 Ia 277 E. 5a). Da sich aus seinen Ausführungen schliesslich auch nicht ergibt, dass und inwieweit die Vorinstanz § 190a StPO/ZH willkürlich angewendet haben könnte, ist auf die Beschwerde im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Angesichts der offensichtlichen Aussichtslosigkeit der vorliegenden Beschwerde kann dem Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege nicht entsprochen werden (Art. 64 BGG). Entsprechend dem Verfahrensausgang trägt der Beschwerdeführer die Gerichtskosten (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG). Der finanziellen Lage des Beschwerdeführers ist bei der Bemessung der Gerichtsgebühr Rechnung zu tragen (Art. 65 Abs. 1 BGG).

Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.

3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Bezirksgericht Zürich, Einzelrichteramt für Zivil- und Strafsachen, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
