The complainant challenged a decision of the Bern cantonal appellate court in a definitive debt-enforcement matter before the Federal Supreme Court. Before the Court ruled on the merits, he withdrew the constitutional complaint by letter of 27 July 2008. The II. Civil Division therefore discontinued the proceedings and struck the complaint out. It also ordered court costs of CHF 200 against the complainant.

Juli 2008 zurückgezogen hat, die Beschwerde daher durch den Abteilungspräsidenten (Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG) abzuschreiben ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 73 BZP) und die Kosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP, Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
verfügt das präsidierende Mitglied:

Die Verfassungsbeschwerde wird als durch Rückzug erledigt abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 200.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, Appellationshof, 2. Zivilkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
