Resumo

The complainant withdrew his constitutional complaint against a judgment of the Solothurn High Court. The President of the Federal Supreme Court therefore discontinued the proceedings without a merits ruling and ordered the complainant to pay court costs of CHF 100. The order was to be notified to both parties and to the cantonal court.

Upon withdrawal of the appeal, the Federal Supreme Court discontinues the proceedings by order without examining the merits. The withdrawing party is, as a rule, charged with the court costs, absent special circumstances justifying a different allocation.

in die Verfassungsbeschwerde gegen das Urteil vom 12. März 2008 des Obergerichts des Kantons Solothurn,

in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer die erwähnte Eingabe mit Schreiben vom 5. Mai 2008 zurückgezogen hat, die Beschwerde daher durch den Abteilungspräsidenten (Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG) abzuschreiben ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 73 BZP) und die Kosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP, Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),

verfügt der Präsident:

1.
Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Verfassungsbeschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.

2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 100.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Solothurn schriftlich mitgeteilt.
