The Federal Tribunal dismissed as inadmissible a subsidiary constitutional complaint against a Geneva ruling that had itself declared inadmissible an appeal concerning provisional lifting of opposition. Considérant:
que, par arrêt du 4 octobre 2011, la Cour de justice du canton de Genève a déclaré irrecevable l'appel formé par A.________ contre le prononcé de la mainlevée provisoire de l'opposition dans la poursuite exercée par Fondation B.________;
que cette décision retient que le recours ne satisfaisait pas aux exigences de recevabilité posées par l'art. 321 al. 1 CPC, faute de motivation suffisante, et, qu'au demeurant, il serait mal fondé, les conditions pour prononcer la mainlevée provisoire étant manifestement réalisées;
que, par écritures remises à la poste le 28 octobre 2011, A.________ interjette un recours constitutionnel subsidiaire au Tribunal fédéral contre cette décision;
que, toutefois, le recourant n'invoque la violation d'aucun droit constitutionnel ni ne prétend que l'arrêt cantonal serait arbitraire (art. 106 al. 2 LTF);
qu'en outre, il ne s'en prend pas aux considérants de l'arrêt cantonal mais fait valoir de manière sommaire des griefs matériels;
qu'une telle argumentation est manifestement insuffisante au regard des exigences légales en la matière (art. 116, 117 et 106 al. 2 LTF; ATF 133 IV 286 consid. 1.4);
que le recours doit dès lors être déclaré irrecevable selon la procédure simplifiée prévue aux art. 117 et 108 al. 1 let. b LTF;
que les frais de la présente procédure doivent être mis à la charge du recourant (art. 66 al. 1 LTF);

par ces motifs, la Présidente prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.

2.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 200 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.

3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et à la Chambre civile de la Cour de justice du canton de Genève.
