The Federal Supreme Court dealt with an appeal in debt-enforcement supervisory proceedings against a decision of the Valais cantonal supervisory authority. The appellant had been ordered to pay an advance on costs of CHF 2,000 and was granted an additional non-extendable 10-day period, but the advance was neither paid nor credited. le "recours" interjeté par X.________ contre le jugement rendu le 4 mars 2010 par l'Autorité supérieure de surveillance en matière de LP du canton du Valais;
l'ordonnance de la Présidente de la IIe Cour de droit civil du 24 mars 2010 fixant au recourant un délai de 10 jours pour effectuer une avance de frais de 2'000 fr., conformément à l'art. 62 LTF;
l'ordonnance présidentielle du 28 avril 2010 lui accordant un délai supplémentaire (non susceptible de prolongation) de 10 jours pour payer cette avance, conformément à l'art. 62 al. 3 LTF;
l'avis de la Caisse du Tribunal fédéral du 26 mai 2010, constatant que l'avance de frais n'a été ni payée ni créditée sur son compte postal et qu'aucune attestation de débit d'un compte postal ou bancaire correspondant au montant exigé ne lui est parvenue jusqu'à ce jour;
considérant:
que l'avance de frais n'ayant pas été versée dans le délai imparti (art. 48 al. 4 LTF), le recours doit être déclaré irrecevable (art. 62 al. 3 LTF), aux frais de son auteur (art. 66 al. 1 LTF);
que la présente décision est du ressort du président de la cour (art. 108 al. 1 let. a LTF);
par ces motifs, la Présidente prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.
2.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 500 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.
3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties, à l'Office des poursuites du district d'Entremont et au Tribunal cantonal du canton du Valais, Autorité supérieure de surveillance en matière de LP.
